British duo sail through 200m medley heats at European Games

Great Britain's Abbie Wood and Georgia Coates have safely qualified for the 200m individual medley semi-finals in Baku.

Wood, who took gold in the 400m individual medley on Tuesday, finished fourth in the heats overall after clocking a time of 2:17.28.

Coates, who has three relay medals to her name, came sixth in the standings thanks to a time of 2:17.35.

Italy's Ilaria Cusinato (2:16.34) set the pace in qualifying.

The semi-finals will get underway later this afternoon.
