British duo ease through 200m freestyle heats in Baku

Team GB's Holly Hibbott and Hannah Featherstone have reached the semi-finals of the 200m freestyle at the European Games.

Featherstone dominated the fourth heat, winning by more than one second with a time of 2:02.68.

Hibbott (2:02.24) recorded a faster time in the sixth heat, but finished second to Russian Federation swimmer Arina Openysheva.

However, despite finishing fifth overall in the heats, Darcy Deakin (2:03.44) failed to qualify, as only two swimmers from each nation are allowed through.

Meanwhile, Team GB's Madeleine Crompton was also unable to qualify after she came seventh in Hibbott's heat, clocking a time of 2:05.08.
