Hannah Miley won a silver medal and set a new British record in the individual medley at the European Short Course Championships in France.

The Olympian recorded a time of 2:6.21 and finished behind Katinka Hosszu of Hungary.

"I've got a busy week ahead and am training through it so to swim so quickly is good," BBC Sport quotes Miley as saying.

Miley's teammate and fellow Briton Siobhan-Marie O'Connor finished in fourth place.

The Scot, who reached three finals at London 2012 but failed to secure a medal, won silver and bronze in last year's Short Course Championships in Poland.
