David Carry into 400m freestyle final

David Carry has secured his place in the men's 400m freestyle final at London 2012.

The British swimmer finished third in heat three with a time of 3:47.25, just enough to make the top eight.

China's Yang Sun recorded the fastest time of the heats, finishing in 3:45.07, while South Korean favourite Taehwan Park was controversially disqualified for a false start.

There was disappointment for Team GB's Robbie Renwick, whose time of 3:47.44 in the second heat fell just short of the top eight.

The men's 400m freestyle final takes place at 7.49pm.
