Squash player Sarah Kippax: 'England made right choices in Wales victory'

Sarah Kippax has put England's mixed doubles victory over Wales at the Commonwealth Games down to making key shots at the right time.

England edged out Wales 2-1 in their Pool F fixture at the Emirates Arena earlier today to remain on track for a medal. "The matches are going to be close when you have a lot of players who are capable of producing match-winning performances," Kippax told reporters.

"There were ups and downs throughout and especially serving out was a bit of a downer when we had such a big lead in the third game.

"We tried to pressurize the girl as much as we could really and that seemed to work. At the crucial points in the last few rallies we made the right choices and played the right shots and it paid off."

Kippax also competed at Delhi 2010.
