Ronnie O'Sullivan risks fine after playing in socks

Five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan plays part of his first-round match at the World Championship in socks, risking a fine after breaking the designated dress code.

Ronnie O'Sullivan could be facing a fine after playing in socks for part of his first-round match at the World Championship.

The five-time world champion removed his shoes during the fifth frame of his contest with Craig Steadman before borrowing a pair from the tournament director.

However, despite his period in socks being brief, the 39-year-old could be hearing from authorities after breaking the designated dress code.

In December, O'Sullivan played in different footwear after breaking his ankle before the UK Championship.
