Great Britain win team skeet gold

Great Britain scooped their first team gold in the women's skeet at the Shooting World Championships in Granada.

The combined scores of Elena Allen, Sarah Gray and Amber Hill resulted in Britain taking the top spot on the podium, while Allen made it through to the individual gold-medal match.

The shooter guaranteed a place at the Rio Olympics, but failed to grab gold in the match as she fell short to the USA's Brandy Drozd.

"I'm ever so pleased to get the silver," Allen told BBC Sport. "I did not want another bronze medal, and getting the quota place for the Olympics is fantastic."

Allen earned bronze in Lima last year.
