Team GB's McIntosh fails to win medal

Jennifer McIntosh has finished in seventh place in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions final at the European Games.

The Great Britain representative qualified for the eight-person final in fifth place and topped the standings during the early stages.

However, the 24-year-old failed to match her rivals during the standing discipline and suffered early elimination from the final.

Italy's Petra Zublasing eased to gold ahead of France's Laurence Brize and Austria's Olivia Hofmann, who won silver and bronze respectively.

Zublasing's victory earned Italy just their third gold medal of the Games.
