McIntosh usurps mother to seal CWG history

Shooter Jen McIntosh has replaced her mother as Scotland's most-decorated female athlete in Commonwealth Games history after winning silver in today's 50m rifle three positions.

The 23-year-old finished behind Singapore's Jasmine Ser to seal her fifth medal of the Games overall following two golds and a bronze in Delhi four years ago.

In doing so, McIntosh, who claimed third in Monday's 50m rifle prone, usurps her mother Shirley to become the first Scottish woman to win five Commonwealth medals.

Lajja Gauswami of India finished third in the event.
