Richard Hill critical despite Worcester Warriors victory

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Richard Hill admits that his side did not play at their best during Friday's victory over London Welsh.

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Richard Hill has admitted that his side were below par during Friday's victory over London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership.

The hosts were forced to work hard for their 13-6 win at Sixways Stadium, but they came through thanks to Semisi Taulava's second-half try.

"We were a bit nervous and we did not plan to kick as much as we did. We are better than that," Hill told Sky Sports News.

"It was a potential banana skin for us as they targeted this game by resting their players for it.

"Our players dug in and showed enough spirit to win it."

The victory has moved Worcester up to eighth place in the table.
