Robbie Diack signs new Ulster contract

South Africa-born back-row Robbie Diack has put pen to paper on a new four-year contract with Ulster.

The 27-year-old, who made his 100th appearance for the club in a 37-13 win over Cardiff Blues in May, is delighted to have extended his stay at Ravenhill.

He told the club's official website: "This wasn't a difficult decision to make. Ulster Rugby is an exciting place to be at the moment.

"We have made huge progress as a team, we have a new stadium and excellent facilities.

"I just want to play my part over the next three years and help Ulster pick up some silverware."

Diack, who qualifies for Ireland after spending five years in Ulster, was part of the Emerging Ireland squad that competed in the Tbilisi Cup in June.
