Ravenhill redevelopment to start next month

Redevelopment of Belfast ground Ravenhill will begin later this month.

Ulster Rugby chiefs have revealed that the redevelopment of Ravenhill, which will become the Ulster squad's new training base, will start later this month.

It is understood that the capacity of the Belfast ground will be increased from 11,400 to 18,000, with the new stands to be completed by June 2013.

According to BBC Sport, the work will begin on November 26 but the entire redevelopment is not expected to be completed until the summer of 2014.

The redevelopment will also bring a new ticket office, shop, bar and catering facilities.
