Armitage move to Bath breaks down?

Steffon Armitage's move from Toulon to Bath has reportedly broken down.

Toulon coach Bernard Laporte claimed on Tuesday that the flanker was considering a switch to the Aviva Premiership in order to boost his chances of playing for England at next year's World Cup.

The 29-year-old has been ineligible to play for his country since his move to France in 2011 due to the Rugby Football Unions's policy of not picking players who ply their trade overseas.

However, his potential transfer to the Recreation Ground is understood to have collapsed, according to Sky Sports News.

Armitage won five caps for England before he left London Irish to join Toulon three years ago.
