Ali Williams agrees Toulon switch

Auckland Blues lock Ali Williams has agreed to join European champions Toulon on a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old will arrive at Stade Mayol in September or early October after completing the Super 15 season with his current club.

He is viewed as a direct replacement for Nick Kennedy, who has asked to be released from his contract.

Williams has been capped 77 times by New Zealand at senior international level.
