Saracens sign Romanian winger Catalin Fercu

Saracens have confirmed the signing of Romanian international winger Catalin Fercu.

The 28-year-old will move to the Allianz Park at the end of the month from Timisoara Saracens.

Fercu is the first player to join Saracens from a club that is part of their Global Network - an initiative which sees the English side support eight other teams around the world.

"Catalin is strong, tenacious and skilful and is equally capable on the wing and at full-back," Sarries director of rugby Mark McCall told the club's official website. "He made a strong impression when he played for us in May."

Fercu has scored 28 tries in 72 games for the Romanian national team.
