Saracens lock George Kruis receives three-week ban for dangerous tackle

Saracens lock George Kruis is given a three-match ban after pleading guilty to committing a dangerous tackle on Gloucester Rugby's David Halaifouna

Saracens lock George Kruis has been handed a three-week suspension for committing a dangerous tackle during his side's clash against Gloucester Rugby last week.

The 24-year-old, who was cited for a tip tackle on wing David Halaifouna during Saracens' 24-23 defeat, pleaded guilty to the offence during a disciplinary hearing held by the Rugby Football Union.

Kruis will miss Saturday's Champions Cup clash against Munster, as well as their contest against Clermont before returning to action on February 3.

Kruis is eligible to play in England's Six Nations opening match against Cardiff.
