Tommy Taylor pens Sale Sharks extension

Sale Sharks hooker Tommy Taylor signs a one-year contract extension with the club.

Sale Sharks hooker Tommy Taylor has penned a new one-year contract with the Aviva Premiership club.

The 23-year-old has made over 60 appearances for the team, though knee surgery has kept him out of action this season.

A number of players at the AJ Bell Stadium are expected to follow Taylor's lead and sign fresh terms in the coming weeks.

"He's recovered from the injury, he is bigger for it, and we just can't wait to get him back," director of rugby Steve Diamond told the club's official website. "We'll see where he's at in 12 months' time."

Sale are currently in sixth place in the table thanks to five wins from their opening nine games of the campaign.
