Sale Sharks hooker Marc Jones has agreed to join Bristol from next season.
The 27-year-old Welshman, who has over 150 appearances for Sale since his debut in 2005, has penned a two-year contract with the Championship leaders.
"Marc is in the prime of his career," Bristol coach Andy Robinson is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "He knows what it takes to succeed in the top flight.
"He's a fiercely competitive performer. Marc has got the mentality and leadership qualities to help drive the progress of our developing players."
Jones has represented Wales at Under-20 level, but he has failed to win a cap for the senior team.
