Sale Sharks beat London Wasps by one point in their final Aviva Premiership game of the season.

Sale Sharks have finished the Aviva Premiership season with a slender 21-20 win over London Wasps at the Salford City Stadium this afternoon.

Tries from Tom Brady and Daniel Braid helped the home side to a 12-7 lead at the end of a close first half.

The visitors made a strong start to the second session, with a try from Christian Wade and a Tom Bell penalty helping Wasps overturn Sale's lead.

However, Lorenzo Romano was sin-binned in the 66th minute, allowing Nick Macleod to edge Sale back in front.

Bell missed a penalty and a drop goal with just over 10 minutes to play before adding a further three points, but Sale were able to respond through Macleod again to take the single-point victory.
