Sale Sharks complete the signing of Leeds Carnegie fly-half Joe Ford.

Sale Sharks co-owner Ian Blackhurst has revealed that the club have completed the signing of Leeds Carnegie fly-half Joe Ford.

The 22-year-old, who has made 62 appearances for Leeds, is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the Championship.

"It's a great signing for us as Joe is a very exciting player," Blackhurst told the club's official site.

"He has been in outstanding form for Leeds this season and played very well in their Championship playoff game against Newcastle last weekend.

"At just 22 years of age it's obvious that Joe's best years are ahead of him and he will be another important addition to our playing squad."

Ford scored 420 points for his former club.
