Mark Easter proud of older brother Nick

Sale Sharks flanker Mark Easter claims that brother Nick deserves to be in the England squad for the Rugby World Cup.

Sale Sharks flanker Mark Easter has revealed that he is proud of brother Nick for being part of England's Rugby World Cup training squad.

The 36-year-old forward, who has won 51 international caps, was recalled to the England set-up by coach Stuart Lancaster for the Six Nations earlier this year.

The younger Easter brother believes that his sibling deserves a place in the final squad due to his performances for Harlequins last season.

"I'm very pleased for Nick, it will be quite an achievement to play in this World Cup," he told Sale's official website.

"Hopefully, he will get some game time in the next few weeks and lay a claim down to play and get named in the final squad. He's played well over last season and deserved it."

England play the first of three Rugby World Cup warm-up matches on Saturday when they face France at Twickenham Stadium.
