London Welsh have won the RFU Championship final in a 29-20 victory over Cornish Pirates at the Kassam Stadium.
The result on the night has seen Welsh claim a 66-41 aggregate victory over their rivals.
However, their place in next season's Aviva Premiership is not yet certain after the RFU ruled that their stadium did not meet the league's criteria.
The Pirates, who were chasing the match following their first-leg defeat, opened the scoring in the fourth minute thanks to Aaron Penberthy's drop goal.
The hosts were soon level through Alex Davies's penalty before Robert Cook scored with a penalty of his own to put the Pirates back in front.
Another kick from Davies levelled the scores, but the visitors went in ahead at the break after Matthew Evans touched down on 25 minutes. Cook launched the conversion through the posts as the Pirates took a 13-6 lead at half time.
However, two Davies penalties soon after the interval got London Welsh to within a point of their rivals.
They were able to edge themselves in front on 68 minutes when Hudson Tonga'uiha scored his side's first try of the match. Davies was successful with the conversion and then extended Welsh's lead with another penalty.
There was a late twist in the tale courtesy of Ryan Storer's try, before the home side made sure of the win when Jack Moates touched down in the corner.
