Nicky Smith pens Ospreys contract extension

Ospreys prop Nicky Smith has penned a new deal with the club until 2019.

The 21-year-old academy product has scored two tries in 26 appearances for the Welsh side since January 2013.

Smith was recently called up to the Wales training squad ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

"I've still got a lot of hard work to do as I realise that I've not really achieved anything yet," he told the club's official website. "I'm still very young and learning the game.

"If I can stay fit, keep working hard and improving, hopefully I'll get more game time and be able to establish myself as an Osprey. This is a great place for youngsters to develop, there are quality players all around you when you are working every day."

Smith has won two senior caps for Wales.
