Dan Biggar crowned Players' Player of the Year

Dan Biggar has been named the RaboDirect Pro12 Players' Player of the Year.

The Ospreys outside-half, who topped the scoring charts for a fifth consecutive year, came out on top in the vote ahead of Glasgow Warriors' winger Niko Matawalu and Ruan Pienaar of Ulster.

Wales international Biggar was also named in the Pro12 Dream Team, which was voted for by the 12 team captains in the division.

Meanwhile, Munster head coach Rob Penney was voted Coach of the Year during the ceremony in Edinburgh.

Penney will take over as manager of Japanese club Shining Arcs from next season.
