Tom Stephenson: 'Northampton Saints not feeling pressure'

Tom Stephenson claims that he and his Northampton Saints teammates are not feeling under pressure at the top of the Aviva Premiership table.

Northampton Saints centre Tom Stephenson has insisted that he and his teammates are not feeling under pressure as the Aviva Premiership season heads towards the final straight.

The defending champions are currently nine points clear at the top of the table thanks to 13 wins from their 17 games so far.

Having had a week of rest following their defeat to Saracens in the LV= Cup semi-finals, Stephenson claims that Northampton are fully focused on securing a home semi-final.

"I don't think we are feeling the pressure, but we know what we have got to do and it is in our hands to lose," he is quoted as saying by PremiershipRugby.com. "The week after Sarries we had a little bit of a chance to rest, then it was just about getting the legs going again."

Northampton are back in league action on Friday when they entertain Wasps.
