Northampton Saints to begin Premiership title defence against Gloucester Rugby

Northampton Saints will begin the defence of their Aviva Premiership title against Gloucester Rugby on September 5.

Northampton Saints will begin the defence of their Aviva Premiership title against Gloucester Rugby at Franklin's Gardens on September 5.

The match, which will be shown live on BT Sport, will kick off the new season, and will be followed the next day by a London double header at Twickenham.

Last season's runners-up Saracens will host Wasps in a 2pm kickoff, which will be shown on BT Sport prior to Harlequins' clash against London Irish.

Wembley will host a match between Saracens and Harlequins on March 28, while Twickenham will play home to a contest between Harlequins and the current champions on December 27.
