Alex Corbisiero hoping for positive end to campaign

Prop Alex Corbisiero targets a positive end to the campaign having suffered a second season of injury problems.

Alex Corbisiero has targeted a positive end to the season having suffered another injury-plagued year.

The 25-year-old prop, who only featured two times for London Irish last season, has overcome a knee injury to feature twice from the bench in Northampton Saints' last two games this time around.

"It's been a tough six-month stretch. Injuries are never fun and I've had two seasons back-to-back ruined by them," Corbisiero said.

"I've been taken off track by them which is frustrating, but I've tried to stay positive and focus on making sure I get my knee healthy and get back as quickly as possible.

"I came here to be playing for trophies at the business end of the season and be at the top end of the league. Now that I'm back, I'm right where I wanted to be and I'm looking forward to trying to make the most of it."

Northampton take on Bath Rugby in tomorrow's Amlin Challenge Cup final.
