Northampton Saints full-back Ben Foden is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Northampton Saints have announced that full-back Ben Foden is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 29-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament on Sunday during the Saints' win at Ospreys in the European Rugby Champions Cup.

Foden will now undergo surgery before starting the rehabilitation process.

Northampton continue their European campaign on Saturday when they entertain Pool Five rivals Racing Metro.
