Edinburgh's Murrayfield named Pro12 final venue

Edinburgh's Murrayfield has been selected as the host stadium for the 2015-16 Pro12 final.

This season is the second time the Pro12 final has been played at a predetermined venue, following last year's encounter between Munster and Glasgow Warriors at Ulster's Ravenhill ground.

"Edinburgh is well known as an inspiring host city for sports, arts and cultural events. The Murrayfield Stadium is a super venue for the Pro12 Final," Pro12 chief executive John Feenan said regarding the decision.

"We invited offers from all 12 clubs and their regions to host the final.

"The tender from Edinburgh was outstanding and was unanimously agreed as the chosen venue."

The final will take place in the Scottish capital on May 28.
