Gavin Henson has revealed that he hopes to make his Cardiff Blues debut in their upcoming Heineken Cup double-header against Edinburgh.
The centre has been sidelined with a wrist injury since his move to the club in October.
The Welsh side face the Scots twice in European competition in December.
"I am going to start full training on Monday and do a bit of contact work to see how it is," said the 29-year-old. "Hopefully I'll be back soon, I am maybe two weeks away.
"I'll hopefully be back for those European games but the boys are doing really well at the moment so it will be hard for me to force my way in for those ones. We'll see how training goes."
The Blues have won their two opening European fixtures this season.
