Newcastle Falcons sign Argentine international centre Gonzalo Tiesi

Newcastle Falcons have signed Argentine international centre Gonzalo Tiesi on a deal until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old joins the Aviva Premiership club following a brief spell with London Welsh.

Falcons coach Dean Richards told the team's official website: "Gonzalo adds real quality to our squad, and I'm delighted to welcome him to Newcastle.

"The fact he already has Premiership experience under his belt is a major plus for us, and his international experience is invaluable as we go into a series of big games in the coming months."

Tiesi previously worked with Richards at Harlequins in the 2008-09 season.
