Chris Hala'Ufia handed five-week ban

London Irish number eight Chris Hala'Ufia has been handed a five-week ban following a dangerous challenge on London Welsh player Seb Jewell at the weekend.

The 34-year-old was dismissed for the challenge just 10 minutes into his side's 15-9 defeat to London Welsh.

The Tongan has been banned until January 7 and will consequently miss both Amlin Challenge Cup fixtures against Gloucester and three Premiership fixtures.

The flanker joined London Irish from Harlequins in 2008.
