Wasps announce first fixture hosted at Ricoh Arena is against London Irish

Wasps have announced that they will play their first Premiership fixture at the Ricoh Arena on December 21 against London Irish.

The former Wycombe-based club confirmed last week that they have acquired a 50% stake in the stadium, which is home to League One football club Coventry City.

On their official website, Wasps stated that their first game at the ground will kick off at 2pm and that information regarding tickets will be released in "due course".

The club's move to Coventry has been met by some discontent from fans, but the Wasps' hierarchy have insisted that due to financial problems, they had no choice but to move.
