Andrea Masi ruled out for five months

London Wasps centre Andrea Masi has been ruled out for five months with a serious knee injury.

The Italian international, 32, damaged his posterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament during last month's defeat to Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

A lengthy spell on the sidelines is now likely to see him miss next year's Six Nations.

Masi joined Wasps from RaboDirect Pro12 side Aironi in 2012.
