Ashley Johnson signs London Wasps extension

London Wasps back-row Ashley Johnson has signed a new contract extension with the Aviva Premiership club.

The 26-year-old South African arrived at Adams Park last summer before establishing himself in the first team.

"My first season has been hugely enjoyable and I have learned so much over the past year from the players and coaches at Wasps," Johnson told the club's official website.

"I am part of a squad that is really building for the future and I am really happy to be part of what we are doing here."

Johnson, who has won three caps for the Springboks, has scored three tries in 25 games this season.
