David Paice: 'London Irish feeling upbeat'

London Irish hooker David Paice insists that the team are in positive spirits despite losing their last six games.

London Irish hooker David Paice has insisted that the team are feeling upbeat despite a run of six defeats in a row.

The Exiles are currently in 11th place in the Aviva Premiership table, though they sit 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

Paice and his teammates return to action this weekend when they face Cardiff Blues in the European Rugby Challenge Cup.

When asked how morale was in the squad, the 31-year-old told BBC Sport: "It's very good. We are confident in our ability and the way we play. We are on the up, we started the season strongly, we had a dip but are back on the way up."

Paice has won eight caps for England following his debut back in 2008.
