London Irish sign former Wales lock Ian Gough

London Irish have signed former Wales international lock Ian Gough on a short-term deal.

The 36-year-old had been without a club after leaving Ospreys earlier this month.

"It's great to have a player of the stature and experience of Ian on board," Irish coach Brian Smith told the club's official website. "His presence and influence around the training ground will be massive."

Gough won 64 caps for Wales between 1998 and 2009.
