Tries in the opening 40 minutes from Thomas Rhys Thomas and Lloyd Williams helped Cardiff Blues to their second Heineken Cup victory of the season against London Irish tonight.
Welsh international Thomas went over in the seventh minute, with Dan Parks on hand to score the conversion.
Parks then traded penalty kicks with his opposite number Tom Homer, who converted three to keep Irish in the encounter.
However, a try from Williams just before the break extended Cardiff's lead.
Homer added two more penalties after the restart, while Parks added one his own in the 69th minute to ensure the victory for Gareth Baber's team.
