Quins narrowly beat Leicester

Harlequins came from behind to secure a 24-20 win over Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership at The Stoop this evening.

Vereniki Goneva scored the opening try of the match just four minutes in, while two penalties from Toby Flood helped the visitors to an early lead.

However, Harlequins were awarded a penalty try shortly before the break, ensuring that they were back on level terms at half time.

Jamie Gibson forced his way over to put the reigning champions back in front in the second half, but a Mike Brown effort cancelled his score out.

Quins led by just a point heading into the final 10 minutes, but Ben Botica kicked a penalty with just three minutes left to play, clinching the victory.

The win keep Harlequins in contention for the final playoff spot, while Leicester remain third in the table.
