Late try gives Harlequins win

Harlequins have scraped past London Wasps to secure a 11-10 win in this afternoon's Aviva Premiership encounter.

Joe Carlisle gave the away side the lead after just three minutes with a expertly-taken penalty.

The hosts replied just two minutes later when Nick Evans scored a penalty of his own to bring the score level.

A penalty try on 27 minutes, followed by a conversion from Carlisle, gave London Wasps a 10-3 advantage at half time.

Ben Botica grabbed a penalty goal 10 minutes into the second half to bring Harlequins right back into the game.

Both sides pushed to open up a substantial lead, but they cancelled each other out for the majority of the second half.

Then three minutes before full time, Sam Smith scored a try to give Harlequins the win.
