A try from Danny Care and a penalty try help Harlequins to victory over London Irish.

Harlequins have increased their lead at the top of the Aviva Premiership with a win over London Irish.

The two sides were well balanced in the first half, with Ian Humphries and Nick Evans each kicking six points for their teams.

The kicking battle continued after the break, with Humphries and Evans each adding a further penalty.

Danny Care crossed the whitewash in the 51st minute for the first try of the game, putting the home side ahead.

The visitors finished the match with 14 men after Patrick Phibbs was shown a yellow card on his debut for London Irish.

A late penalty try sealed the win for Quins, and cost the Exiles, who remain 11th in the table, a bonus point.
