Harlequins 25-23 Northampton Saints

Harlequins book their place in their first Aviva Premiership final with a dramatic 25-23 victory over Northampton at the Stoop.

Harlequins have reached their first Aviva Premiership final after a thrilling 25-23 victory over Northampton at the Stoop.

Ryan Lamb kicked over four first-half penalties to Nick Evans's three as the visitors took a 12-9 lead at the break.

Evans notched up two more kicks after the interval to edge Quins in front, but Lamb kicked twice again to get his side back on level terms.

The Saints looked to have given themselves a good chance of the win after the hour when Lee Dickson touched down for the first try of the match. However, Lamb missed what proved to be a crucial conversion.

Evans scored his sixth penalty of the afternoon with 10 minutes to play as the hosts kept on the tails of their opponents.

Harlequins sealed the win in dramatic fashion as Joe Marler found the try line after all 15 members of the team had overpowered the Saints pack. Evans found the posts for the final time in the match to send his side through to the final on Saturday, May 26.
