Luke Wallace: Preparation was vital

Luke Wallace admits that Harlequins' preparation paid dividends against Bath.

Harlequins' Luke Wallace has said that the team's preparation paid off after beating Bath 14-6 this afternoon.

Wallace, whose side had conceded more than 50 points over their last three matches, admits that Quins were focused on improving on the defensive side of the ball during the week.

"It was tough but I'm pleased with the result," he told ESPN.

"We were upset in the past couple of weeks with our defence. We felt we weren't hitting people hard enough. That was the big focus this week and we did that on both sides of the ball.

"I think our attacking flair was there. We were getting people open, we just need to look at holding the ball, keeping calm under pressure and make sure we capitalize on opportunities."

Wallace's side take on Saracens in a top-of-the-table clash at Wembley Stadium next weekend.
