Evans backs Nick Easter for England

Harlequins fly-half Nick Evans has claimed that teammate Nick Easter should be given a chance to return to the England squad.

Easter has not featured for his country since the 2011 Rugby World Cup, but has impressed in the number eight role for his club side this season.

"I think he has been the form number eight in the Premiership, if not Europe. He has been fantastic for us. His workload is immense and his metres carried and off-loads are a massive part of his game," Evans told the BBC.

Easter has featured in all of Harlequins' league matches this season.
