Hamilton named Gloucester captain
Jim Hamilton takes over the captaincy role at Gloucester.

Scottish international Jim Hamilton has been appointed as Gloucester captain for the 2012-13 season.

The second-row takes over the captaincy from Perpignan bound Luke Narraway.

Newly-appointed Gloucester coach Nigel Davies is confident of Hamilton's captaincy potential.

"I've been really impressed with Jim since I arrived this summer. His work ethic and commitment to Gloucester Rugby's success is without question," said Davies.

"The kind of intense passion and energy he brings to the group adds to his qualities as a natural leader."

The former Edinburgh lock is now entering his third year with Gloucester.
