Gloucester Rugby have completed the signing of Leeds Carnegie back-row forward Jacob Rowan.
The 24-year-old, who skippered England at Under-20 level during the 2010 Junior World Championship, led Leeds to a third-place finish in the second-tier this season.
"I am at the stage of my career where I want to really test myself at the highest level on a consistent basis," Rowan told the club's official website.
"When I heard that Gloucester were interested in me, it was too good an opportunity to turn down."
Leeds missed out on promotion from the Championship having suffered playoff elimination over two legs against London Welsh.
