Gloucester confirm Charles deal

Gloucester have confirmed the signing of hooker Nathan Charles on a short-term deal.

The 22-year-old has been brought in to act as cover for injured Argentine international Matias Cortese, who is recovering from knee surgery.

"Nathan's a very highly rated hooker in Australia," said coach Bryan Redpath. "He's got Super Rugby experience and has trained with the Wallabies. We're fortunate to be able to bring him in to cover Matias' absence."

Charles is in Samoa with his current club, Super Rugby side Western Force, but will meet up with his new teammates when he returns.
