Ben Morgan stretchered off with ankle injury against Saracens

England and Gloucester number eight Ben Morgan has been stretchered off in the Aviva Premiership clash with Saracens.

Morgan suffered a serious-looking injury early in the second period and received treatment on the pitch for five minutes before being taken off, after he was stuck to the bottom of a ruck following his own drive.

Morgan was named as England's man of the series in the recent Autumn Internationals and he is expected to play a key part in England's season, which includes the Six Nations and the World Cup.

Nick Wood was also stretchered off for Gloucester, with a neck injury.

Gloucester won the match after a late penalty by James Hook.
