Simone Favaro makes Glasgow Warriors switch

Glasgow Warriors confirm that Italy flanker Simone Favaro will join the club from Treviso at the end of the season.

Glasgow Warriors have completed the signing of Italy flanker Simone Favaro from Treviso on a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old will join the Scottish club at the end of the season.

Favaro, who has won 23 caps for his country, moved to Treviso from Aironi in 2013.

"Simone is an excellent signing for the club and he'll add more depth and competition for places in the back-row," coach Gregor Townsend told Glasgow's official website. "He is a very committed player who tackles low and competes hard for ball in contact."

Favaro made his debut for Italy back in 2009.
