Northampton Saints seal points late on at Sandy Park

A late George Pisi try seals victory for Northampton Saints against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park in the Aviva Premiership.

Northampton Saints have made it eight away wins on the bounce after beating Exeter Chiefs 17-16 at Sandy Park in the Aviva Premiership.

Ryan Wilson crossed the line for the first try of the night to give Saints the lead after Gareth Steenson's earlier penalty.

The visitors added a second try courtesy of Samu Manoa, although the high-flying side failed to kick the extras for the second time.

Dave Lewis touched down to fire the Chiefs ahead following another couple of Steenson kicks, and it was the same man who converted for two more points after 52 minutes.

It looked as though the home side were going to hold out for victory, but George Pisi's try on 77 minutes won the contest for the Saints, with Stephen Myler's conversion making sure that there would be no further comeback..
